Happy Dogs is a State Inspected, State Licensed Dog Daycare and Boarding facility in Downtown Waterloo Iowa.
Happy Dogs objective is to offer a clean, safe, and positive place where dogs can play and socialize with other dogs. When you pick up your dog you will find a happily tuckered friend! Only Happy Dog Members are admitted to the Daycare and Boarding program.
Becoming a member is as easy as making an appointment, filling out an application, and bringing us documentation from your vet of up to date vaccinations. (Rabies, Distemper and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) are required. Pups must be 8 weeks old and spayed or neutered by 6 months. Then your pet will be given a temperament screening to complete the process. Once you and your family are Happy Dogs Members you can enjoy Daycare and Boarding services by drop in or appointment. We recommend becoming a member now even if you don’t have an immediate need for our service. You may not need daycare today but you may need boarding tomorrow! It doesn’t cost anything to become a member.
Keep in mind that Daycare is not for every dog. This doesn’t make that particular dog a bad dog, it just might not be the best situation for that dog. Like humans dogs aren’t adaptable to every situation and dogs shouldn’t be forced into Daycare and we will not allow it. Although we have the utmost appreciation of the Dog Parents, our primary concern at Happy Dogs is the safety and well being of your Dog.
Boarding is a necessary part of being a pet parent. We are set up to offer crate boarding at Happy Dogs. You can either BYOC (bring your own crate) which is recommended, or we have crates available. You pet will already be familiar to that crate and scents, providing a more comfortable environment. Included in boarding prices is a full day of Daycare. Your pet will only be in the Crate at night during bed time. Unless they choose to snooze during the day. This provides for a stimulating, comfortable stay for your pet! Daycare is free on the day of pickup!!
